Biography
Senior Lecturer, University of Exeter, UK
Dr Craig Beall is currently a senior lecturer at the University of Exeter Medical School. His research investigates energy sensing mechanisms in the brain as well is in islet and skeletal muscle. He was previously awarded a JDRF postdoctoral fellowship (2010-2013) followed by a Diabetes UK RD Lawrence fellowship (2013-2019). In January 2020 he transitioned to a faculty position. He currently sits on a number of committees including Diabetes UK Clinical Studies group 5 (long term self-management and glycaemic control), the JDRF Scientific Advisory Council, the Society for Neuroendocrinology (SfE) Science committee. He is also the basic science convener for the SfE Neuroendocrinology network and a member of the SfE Leadership and Development award selection panel.
