ECR Event | Work-Life Balance in Academia
We all struggle with maintaining a healthy work-life balance in academia.
During this ECR only event we will explore the theme of “Work-Life Balance in Academia” through a series of workshops and discussions. As ECRs we will have the opportunity to discuss amongst our peers the topics that typically underpin the struggles of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, such as family and caring responsibilities, switching off outside the lab, career development outside of the lab, working abroad and maintaining a supportive mental health.
No attendee will be pressured into giving away personal information, we will host these workshops to discuss topics in a practical sense. We hope that this will provide attendees with ideas on how to improve their work-life balance, as well as giving a sense of community in that these struggles are commonplace.
When: Wednesday 6 September 2023
Where: Xfi Henderson Lecture Theatre, Streatham Campus, Exeter University
We look forward to welcoming you to this special ECR event,
