Biography

Gareth Leng began his career in Neuroendocrinology in 1977, and has worked in many aspects of the field. His book "The Heart of the Brain: The Hypothalamus and its Hormones" (2018) attempts to make some sense of the things that have interested him. In his career he has played various roles – including as editor, teacher, mentor, manager and Trades union representative. He is based at the University of Edinburgh, and will be very happy to try to help any young (or old) neuroendocrinologist fulfil their ambitions. Feel free to write to me in confidence.
