All successful grant applicants are expected to submit a Grants Report Form no later than 6 months after the end of the grant. Please note, future grants will not be awarded if no Grants Report Form has been received.

Undergraduate Student Laboratory Experience Grant

To provide some financial support for a student who undertakes a vacation lab project

The host supervisor should apply on behalf of the student that they consider to be suitable for a project in their lab. The host supervisor must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Students can be of any nationality.

Undergraduate students or students immediately after graduation or prior to starting MSc or PhD studies are eligible

Project Support Grant

To provide support for consumables/other research costs to enable postdoctoral scientists or students to carry out the best possible neuroendocrine research project Non-tenured postgraduate or post-doctoral researchers or Academic/Faculty staff who apply on behalf of a student who are full members and have been members of the BSN for at least 6 months. £7,000 To be confirmed Apply via mySociety Project Support Grant Rules [PDF]
Outreach and Public Engagement Grant To organise public engagement activities

Applicants must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Or a non-member public engagement professional.

Non-member public engagement professionals must contact the Society before submitting an application.

Non-member public engagement professionals must be partnered with a Society member who will assist the development and/or delivery of the activity

JNE Symposium Support Fund To support focussed, subject specific, scientifically valuable meetings that might otherwise have difficulty covering their costs, or where additional support would facilitate wider community involvement e.g. through provision of ECR travel grants. Research Visit Grant

To support travel and accommodation (not subsistence) for neuroendocrinologists visiting research labs in the UK, Europe or the rest of the world in order to learn a technique or to carry out experiments essential to their project

All members (UK and International) including academic staff, post-doctoral research fellows and postgraduate students.

Applicants must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Early Career Researcher Travel Grant

To support travel to UK BSN meetings.

Postgraduate students and post-doctoral research fellows within 10 years of gaining their PhD.

Applicants must have been a member of the BSN for at least 3 months.

International Conference Travel Grant To support attendance at international conferences and meetings, including those held in the UK.

All members, including academic staff, post-doctoral research fellows and postgraduate students.
